Since a child, I connected to music for how it made me feel and not just on the genre. The wisdom of rap, the harmonies of soul and R&B, the improvisation of jazz, the movement of afrobeat, & the melodies of pop music. I wanted to do it all when I started making music, but was fearful showing any sides apart from traditional rapping. As I’ve grown as an artist, the songs on ELEMENTS Vol 1, show the different parts of my musical identity. This magazine is a visual counterpart to reflect the unique parts of my identity and the people chosen as well. To celebrate some of the people who make this world more interesting and also make this world a better place for us all to live. We are all learning in our individual journeys to be the best versions of ourselves and I hope this inspires you to do the same.
